Water wells can save lives, improve health, and ease water scarcity in drought-affected regions where clean water is scarce. Globally, around 790 million people lack access to clean drinking water, leading to waterborne diseases that claim nearly 1 million lives each year. Unsafe water remains the main barrier to health and development for communities in many developing countries.
